A small charity with a great heart. (Charity Registration number 270465)
We formed in 1975, aiming to promote, support, assist and improve Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse Museum of Norfolk Life, raising funds to support both the Museum and the many volunteers who make this living working museum such a special place.
The Friends of Gressenhall is a member of the British Association of Friends of Museums (BAfM)

As a Friend you are supporting the museum's development, and can also access a number of benefits including:

Free entry to Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse as many times as you wish during the season (on normal opening days), with free or reduced entry fees to special events*

Invitations to Friends only events

10% discount in the Mardlers’ Rest Café (on their own products) and in the museum shop

Discounted entry to other Norfolk Museum Service (NMS) museums and in their shops and cafés

You can potentially join the Friends Executive Committee if you wish to become more involved in supporting the Museum

Volunteer Friends
Friends of Gressenhall offers
complementary membership to
over one hundred regular museum
volunteers.
​
Known as Volunteer Friends, they
work in teams supporting the
Museum with Collections, Library,
Research (including remotely),
Engineers, Learning, Farm,
Conservation, Gardeners, Team
Panhard and Workhouse Trail
Guides.

Other ways to support us

Cash donation boxes - at various places around the site, including the entrance foyer, gift shop and farm

Recipe cards - available to purchase in the Farmhouse kitchen

Secondhand bookshop in the courtyard - throughout the museum's open season. Purchase books, or donate good quality books to be sold there

Make a donation - send us a cheque or make a BACS payment
